Whilst I was researching the different film industries such as Warner Bros. I also looked at the many logos that have been produced by the companies where I found that some were more complicated than others and then there were the more simplistic ones with a single word and an effect. A logo is a graphic mark used by organisations and even individuals to aid and promote instant audience recognition for the products. They can be purely graphic with a small symbol or composed with words. To add that personal footprint to my moving image and print pieces I have designed some possible logos that will reflect the name I have chosen, all relating to the fantasy genre. Below are my rough designs of logos and a mind map of title ideas I have created. These will hopefully be incorporated well into the design. In the production stage I will obviously develop the logo that will best represent my film further and add in the selected name.
I have created these as quick sketches through Microsoft word and Paint making use of auto shapes and images from the Internet. When it comes to making the logo for my draft and final print products I will definitely use software such as Adobe Photoshop so that it will look both professional and effective. Out of the ones I have completed so far I really like the idea with the unicorn and the stars as it is a mythical creature and shows my genre. It is also quite simple and the colour scheme will be continued throughout the other pieces.
To conclude I have decided to use Mystic Unicorn or just Unicorn Productions for my final idea.
